BGI Hosts Greenway Discussion for Jane’s Walk NYC

On Sunday, May 5th, Brooklyn Greenway Initiative (BGI) board members Michael Porto and Milton Puryear led a walk and conversation along the route of the Brooklyn Waterfront Greenway. This event was part of The Municipal Art Society’s annual series of Jane’s Walk NYC programs throughout the city.

The group of 20 started in DUMBO and worked their way north along the greenway route to the Brooklyn Navy Yard. Cindy VandenBosch, founder of Turnstile Tours, shared some of the history of the land and buildings.

This walk was featured on Untapped Cities. Check out part one and part two!
