Vote for Newtown Creek Projects

Please help secure funding for two Waterfront Greenway related projects that will also improve quality of life for people living and working near Newtown Creek. All it takes is a visit to Queens Library on Wednesday, December 1st to place a vote for projects #13 and #21.

The projects are: #13) a new pedestrian/bike bridge across Newtown Creek and #21) green infrastructure for the West Street segment of the greenway. You can vote here:

Wednesday, December 1st, 3:00PM to 8:00PM

Queens Library (Court Square) at 25-01 Jackson Avenue

The City Parks Foundation is managing a process for communities to select projects to receive funding from a $7 million Newtown Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant mitigation fund. There are 22 projects on the list. When you vote, you will be able to rank your top 5 choices. This process will result in a clear list of community preferences. The final decisions will be made by NYS Department of Environmental Conservation.
