Meadow Mythology Walk

July 8 | 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Explore the Naval Cemetery Landscape’s meadow and learn about the folklore and history connected to some of the plants.

The Meadow Mythology walk will explore human and plant relationships through storytelling.

As long as people have been sharing stories, plants have been main characters in our narratives – from Eve’s forbidden apple, to the Campanula for which Rapunzel was named.

Participants will gain knowledge and a sense of connection with plants found in the landscape by learning about folklore in which they are featured as well as current and historical uses in medicine and ritual.

Participants will choose a plant covered in the walk for a guided journal activity after the walk!

Please register for updates and reminders about this event.

Bring a full water bottle and don’t forget sunscreen!
