Every May, NYC Wildflower Week presents free live events to showcase the 778 native plants that grow wild in 53,000 acres of open space. We want to help New Yorkers to get to know the nature in their own backyard and encourage them to protect these plants for future generations.
The Naval Cemetery Landscape is a great place to spot some of these blooms! Take a look, borrow a magnifying glass to take a closer look, use our visitor information pamphlets to take a self-guided tour and ask our gardeners about the flowers you spot from the boardwalk!
