BGI Benefit to Support Hurricane Relief Efforts

Last night, November 12th, over 100 greenway supporters gathered at the new Chio’ restaurant in the Columbia Waterfront District to raise funds to help Brooklyn recover and rebuild. With your help, we raised over $4,000 to contribute to the Brooklyn Recovery Fund, which is a Hurricane Sandy relief fund jointly administered by Brooklyn Community Foundation, the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce and the Office of the Brooklyn Borough President. Thank you!!

Many thanks to our event sponsors, including Chio’, The O’Connell Organization, Industry City, Brownstoner, Brooklyn Brewery and Waterfront Wines & Spirits; to our event honorees, including the Brooklyn Borough President’s Office and John Osborn, Esq., of the law firm Osborn; and to our special guest, Ted Wright, NYC DOT Senior Project Manager for the Brooklyn Waterfront Greenway.
