MEADOW SONG: An open-air performance of myth & music, from Irish folklore
September 19 | 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm
Don’t miss this enchanting evening of myth-telling and music in Greenway Botanical Garden at the Naval Cemetery!
Join us for MEADOW SONG: a bardic performance in the meadow, with original songs & tales from Irish folk tradition.
Resident artist Juju Lane presents a theatrical retelling of The Tale of Airmed’s Cloak – a poignant story of familial bonds and betrayal, drawn from ancient Irish mythology. Woven with site-responsive themes of botany & burial grounds, the tale reminds us of nature’s healing powers – and of what happens when we stray too far from the green…
A rare opportunity to experience theater at this extraordinary outdoor venue: floating upon the boardwalk in the native pollinator meadow of Brooklyn’s Naval Cemetery.
A reception will follow the show.
